FIRE CADET PROGRAM
Attn: Seniors Interested in a Firefighting Career -- The Ventura County Fire Department is currently recruiting Seniors to participate in the Fire Cadet program starting in January. Please stop by the Work Experience Office Rm 7-16 for more information. Applications are due by Monday, November 15th.
SIMI VALLEY CAREER INSTITUTE - Seniors, are you interested in a health career? The Simi Valley Career Institute has programs to train you for jobs in the medical field. They will have a representative on campus on Tuesday, October 29th at 1:30pm. Please see Mrs. Porter in the CCC Rm 5-10 for more information.
NROTC - Looking for a way to help pay for college and serve your country? Come find out about joining NROTC on Wednesday, October 30th during lunch in the CCC Rm 5-10. Sgt. Olea from the United States Marines will be here to present information on what it takes to be one of The Few, The Proud, The Marines.
SCHOLARSHIP NIGHT – Seniors and their parents are invited to join us for Scholarships 101 on Monday, November 4th at 6:30pm in the Library. We will tell you where to look for scholarships, the different types of scholarships and the do’s and don’ts about applying for them. TUTORS AVAILABLE – Tutoring help is available with our National Honor Society tutors. Please check the tutoring schedule posted in the Library to see what subjects are available for tutoring on which days. Tutors are available in the Library before and after school, at lunch and during 5th and 6th periods if students have a free period. Students are encouraged to take advantage of this valuable resource if they need help with homework or studying for a test.
