Letters of Recommendation for College Applications or Scholarships

Are you a senior applying to a private school or scholarship program that requires a letter of recommendation from a teacher or counselor?  If so, be sure to allow plenty of time for the person to do a great job.  Two weeks is recommended but three weeks is even better!  Don't forget to check due dates and plan accordingly, taking into account vacations when staff may not be available.

PSAT Scores

If you missed PSAT night on Dec. 15, you may pick up your PSAT results from Mrs. Huse, Counseling Secretary.

If you missed College Appplication Night on October 6 or Scholarship Night on November 3, you can find the power point presentations and additional information on the College and Career Center webpage or you can see Mrs. Porter in room 5-10.

Students are assigned to a counselor by the first letter of their last name for all grades 9 - 12.

The following online programs have been approved for A-G entrance requirements for UC or CSU:

Approved Online A-G Course Providers

However, not all courses are approved for each vendor so it's important to check the specific course on the UC system's website.  That information can be found here: Search for the online program, then check to see if the course is listed as approved.

Any courses taken online for which high school credit is desired must be approved by your counselor prior to enrolling in the course.

Check the College and Career Center webpage for updates on applying to college, testing, college visits, scholarships and more:
