Counseling office hours: 7:30 - 4:00
Royal High School counselors assist students in the areas of academic achievement, personal/social development and career development. This includes working with students to develop four year plans to meet graduation requirements and to explore and prepare for the wide range of post-high school options.
The Counseling Office is open from 4:00 – 7:00 PM one Monday every month. Two of the counselors are available to provide information and answer questions. Check the calendar on the main page for specific dates. Students and parents are welcome to stop by – no appointment needed!
College Entrance Testing
College bound seniors should register to take the SAT or ACT in the fall. College bound juniors should take the SAT or ACT in the spring of their junior year. Information about test dates and registration is available on these websites: SAT: http://www.collegeboard.org ACT: http://www.act.org Registering early means no late fees are required and increases the chances that students will be assigned to their preferred test site. Royal High School offers the SAT in May.
If you missed Scholarship Information Night or Financial Aid Night, see Mrs. Porter in the College/Career Center for a copy of the handouts or email her at email@example.com.
