The home of the proud Highlanders welcomes the Class of 2017.
This is a period of many changes for Royal High School as we move into a new bell schedule and a new student information system. Among other new practices here, our students and staff now enjoy one lunch time and we have added a weekly Advisory class to increase the support for every student at school. We are striving to offer a wide range of choices to serve the varied interests and needs of our student body. We work every day to make our school a safe and welcoming place of learning, both academic and social.
Royal High School continues to develop our Citizen Scholar Institute in partnership with the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library and Foundation. If you haven’t seen our CSI Room, please stop by and ask for a tour. We are in our final year of the application process for the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program and hope to be able to offer Juniors and Seniors IB courses beginning in 2014/2015. We are preparing our campus to receive the Air Force Jr. ROTC program beginning next year as well.
We have a strong partner in the RHS PTSA organization and I encourage all to join and also to get involved with all of their good work. There is a great deal of information on our website and I hope that you find this resource helpful.
Our theme for this school year is “Rising Up to the Challenge!” Rising up to the challenge of positive change, rising up to excellence in all we do, and rising up to a future that is ours to shape.
