Summer Required Reading

Check out your required summer reading books from the Required Reading Book Bank during lunch on May 26th and May 27th! The RRBB will be set up in front of the MPR. Don't miss out on your chance to borrow these books for free, instead of having to buy them on your own! Click on the link below to obtain a copy of the list.

Required Reading Book List

Are you done with your AP or Honors English Summer Required Reading books?  Help out another student by donating them!  Royal High PTSA has a Required Reading Book Bank.  Books willl be collected in English class and at the end of the school year students will be given the opportunity to check out the books they need for next year's English class.  Novels from the quarterly outside reading book lists will also be collected.  You may donate any book on any of the required reading book lists in your English class at any time during the year.  Check your book shelves for last year's books please. Let's keep the recycling going and donate last year's books and check out next year's books.

CAASPP Testing Breakfast

During this year's CAASPP Testing weeks, Royal High PTSA once again provided students with bagels, cream cheese, peanut butter, granola bars, waters, banana's cuties, and apples. The RHPTSA and the students are appreciative of the various PTSA volunteers and the local businesses that were so generous in donating to this great cause. We're happy to help the students stay focused during this important time by ensuring that they get a good nutritious breakfast with a full tummy!
Thank you to the following companies for their donations to the RHPTSA CAASPP Testing Breakfast: Western Bagels of Westlake Village, Trader Joe's of Simi Valley, Trader Joe's of Thousand Oaks, Noah's Bagels of Thousand Oaks, Albertsons on Madera Road, Von's in Simi Valley, Costco in Simi Valley, and Panera. Thank-you also to Julianne Ota and Robert Ota for setting up in the early mornings, Cindy Hitt, Shawn Pendergast, Joseph Bergesson, Roberta Spielman, Harriet, and Rita our wonderful Front Office ladies, for all your donations and/ or serving breakfast items this year. Thank you to all of our wonderful parents who donated items as well. We couldn't run these programs successfully without your help!

"Every 15 Minutes"

Royal HS PTSA will be holding the Every 15 Minute program on March 4th-5th 2015. This program is designed to teach the students that their actions will affect not only their families, but their peers and the community. This program costs approximately $20,000 to put on. We receive a $9,999 grant from the CHP and then it is up to us to fund raise for the remainder. If you would like to be more involved and help with the program or make a tax deductible donation, please contact Harriet Hunsaker (E15M Chairperson) at

We are also looking for some to shadow this year and take the program over for 2017. The program is done every other year. Simi HS does it on our off years!
